Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming New Smyrna Beach events this month. There’s sure to be plenty of family-friendly events that everyone can enjoy.
Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday you can visit the New Smyrna Beach Farmer’s Market, where you’ll find local produce, organic goods, baked items, plants, coffees and so much more! There’s definitely something for everyone at this farmer’s market.
Art Stroll Gallery Walk
The first Saturday of each month features individual and group artist exhibitions at the Art Stroll Gallery Walk. Get specials on local art at the shops on Douglas and Canal Streets and also enjoy live music shows.
Biketoberfest
Biketoberfest comes to nearby Daytona Beach in October! This four-day event occurs between October 19th – 22nd and features motorcycle shows, rallies, scenic rides, live music and racing at the Daytona International Speedway. A must-attend for motorcycle enthusiasts. Now in its 25th year!
Zombie 5K Beach Run (Oct. 21st)
The Zombie 5K Beach Run will be held at the Flagler Ave Beach Approach in New Smyrna Beach on October 21st, 2017 and feature zombies roaming the beach. The first 400 runners to sign up will receive a flag football which the zombies will attempt to steal. T-shirts are given out after the race, while the runners with one flag football remaining will receive one that says, “I Survived the Zombie 5K Beach Run.” You can register ahead of the event for $25 or the day of the event for $30.
Halloween Parade & Costume Contest (Oct. 31st)
The Annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest has been a staple of New Smyrna Beach since 1976 and will be held at 500 Canal Street in downtown New Smyrna Beach this year. Starting at 4:00 p.m. you can enjoy the parade which will start at the Orange Street parking lot and continue to the parking lot of the Chamber of Commerce.
Stick around for the costume contest right after the parade, but if you want to enter, keep in mind that only homemade costumes will be judged! There is no requirement for pre-registration, so just head over to the festivities if you are in town visiting or on vacation.
